Title: ECE 22.06 Takes Full Effect: Legal Helmet Rules for European Riders
Starting July 2026, ECE 22.06 becomes the only valid helmet certification across the EU, phasing out outdated ECE 22.05 models.
The updated rule adds strict rotational impact tests and expands crash detection points from 6 to 18. Built-in Bluetooth helmets and visors are also included in mandatory safety inspections.
